Registered Dental Hygienist
I enjoy getting to know our patients. It’s a pleasure to help them take control of their dental health. I love seeing the improvement in their mouth as they move through treatment. I provide individualized care: I perform pre-surgical debridement, to prepare the patient for surgery. I also see patients for recurring periodontal hygiene maintenance. Much of my day is spent educating patients on how to improve their dental health through good home oral hygiene.
Life is best when we’re surrounded by people we love and are in the great outdoors. I love to downhill ski, water ski, play sports with my three sons, and go camping and cottaging with our Golden Doodle, Buddy.
I am glad to be part of a team that provides compassionate, life-improving care to people. Watching a patient who’s apprehensive at first learn that this is a safe place and relax while here is a great feeling. Of course, seeing someone heal from their periodontal disease and have a healthier, happier life, is the best part of my work. I am responsible for the office administration. This ensures we run smoothly, so the team can focus on what’s important: patients’ smiles.
I have an adult son, who’s a Mechanical Engineer. I also have three beautiful cats. I love animals and flowers, have taken Reiki 1 and 2, and studied reflexology, too.
I enjoy meeting and building relationships with people. When patients start care, they may be worried and have questions. Our doctors and team excel at quieting a person’s nerves, answering their questions, and setting their minds at ease. I greet patients, check them in, and update their records. I also process insurance claims and payments, schedule patients, and perform a variety of other office duties.
I’m married and have three children. When I’m not spending quality time with my family, I enjoy music, walking, and working out.

I like helping our patients resolve their oral health issues and develop healthy smiles. I provide gentle, thorough care, removing plaque and calculus prior to surgery. I also deliver cleanings for oral hygiene maintenance patients. A lot of my day is spent teaching patients about their oral health. Working together, we find strategies and solutions to improve their home care. I’m thrilled to see a healthy mouth at a recall visit.
I share my life with my long-term love and high school sweetheart. We recently adopted a rescue cat and are enjoying having an animal in our home. I’m actively involved in the Hamilton Buddhist Temple.
It is satisfying to help people each day. Our patients are wonderful individuals and I am glad to be part of making their experience positive. I perform general maintenance of our dental and surgical instruments and maintain a sterile environment. I also take impressions and digital X-rays, as well as CBCT scans. Working chairside, I support our doctors and patients during surgical procedures and provide post-op instructions, too.
I was born in Cali, Colombia and came to Canada with my husband in 2008. I’m happy to live in an incredible country with so many opportunities. My husband and I are proud parents of a beautiful girl. We also have a cute family dog.
