Dr. GlogauerPeriodontist | Hamilton, OntarioMichael Glogauer attended the University of Toronto where he obtained the degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery in 1993. He associated with Dr. Andrew Coburn in Hamilton for 4 years. Following a periodontal surgical residency program and a doctoral degree in Periodontal Physiology, Michael worked as a hospital based Periodontist at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston. During this period he was a research fellow at Harvard Medical School and an Instructor at Harvard School of Dental Medicine. In addition to private practice Michael is currently an Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto. Dr. Glogauer's clinical interests involve periodontal medicine as it relates to overall systemic health, regeneration of periodontal tissues, and dental implantology. Michael's area of research at the University of Toronto (www.matrixdynamics.ca) centres on the role of the immune system in oral health with a focus on the function of white blood cells (neutrophils). His research is supported by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR). Michael and his wife Deborah live in Hamilton with their eight children. |
